On the occasion of the the annual event Acetaie Aperte, the municipal vinegar cellar of Sassuolo delivered the first bottle of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.D.O. The traditional ceremony took place on September 29th.
From 2013, the year of foundation of the municipal Vinegar cellar, the Custodians of the art of traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena run the municipal Acetaia following the strict rules of the P.O.D. disciplinary of production. The memory of its founder Ettore Cuoghi, who gave the vinegar cellar its name, was honored by offering The first bottle of Balsamic Vinegar P.D.O. to Ms. Flaviana Fiandri, his beloved widow.
The Councilor Malagoli thank all the Custodes who, as volunteers, contributed to achieving this result. Together with the current President Stefano Levizzani, the Councilor rewarded all the Custodians present at the ceremony. The day then continued with guided tours of the municipal vinegar cellar. Almost 300 people have patiently waited for the visit and tasted the first Acetaia’s products directly from the characteristic Giugiaro bottle.
