Bottura’s restaurant Osteria Francescana of Modena is the best restaurant in the world of 2018. The starred chef’s menu boasts many innovative and fancy dishes, some of which are enriched with Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena P.D.O. Bottura’s restaurant has been elected, for the second time, “best restaurant in the world”. The restaurant received the prestigious prize  on the occasion of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018, a sort of Oscar for gastronomy, which took place on the 19th of June at the Basque Culinary Center in Bilbao, Spain. « Why did we win? Easy! Osteria Francescana is extraordinary and has never cooked well like today» said chef Bottura.

The chef Massimo Bottura got his first Michelin star in 2002; in the same year he was awarded with the title of best emerging chef by Gambero Rosso; then in 2006 obtained the second star and in 2012  the second star.

Prices vary, a simple dish like tagliatelle al ragù can cost 60 euros, but it is still a dish prepared by a starred chef. However, the tasting menus go from 250 euros for 10 courses up to 270 euros for 12 courses.
